Early blooming, more concerning?

The cherry blossoms in Washington DC are almost at their peak. Earlier than expected! That means it's springtime, right? 

Today's high is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but just a few days ago I swear the high only reached 40-something degrees. And that’s still in Fahrenheit. 

The "bipolar" weather these days is just one of the effects of climate change and global warming.

When everyone else stays indoors... #Snowmaggedon

I started to crave a cheesy, chicken quesadilla.  And I figured I could use several cheesy, chicken quesadilla meals when I'm subsequently stuck at home during the looming #snowpocalypse2016.

So an hour before the said snowmaggedon was supposed to hit, I walked to my neighborhood grocery store for my emergency sustenance: quesadilla ingredients. Cilantro included.

A bittersweet reunion (Korea's separated families, Part 2)

The last reunion between families separated by the Korean War took place last year, February 2014.

Leading up to this event, I was able to meet with one of the 82 selected in South Korea to attend these reunions in North Korea.

Her name was Hong Sin-ja, and at that time she was 84 years old. She was selected to meet her then 83-year-old younger sister, Young-ja, who had been living in North Korea.
